How to set up sbcglobal email in outlook?

SBCGlobal email is an older email service, which is now branded as AT&T email. Now, users cannot make a new SBCGlobal email account with the “@sbcglobal.net” suffix, however, people already having SBCGlobal email account will only be able to access their emails by using AT&T email login page or third-party email clients like Outlook, for which sbcglobal.net outlook settings have to be done.

Following are the steps that one can go through for doing Sbcglobal Email Settings For Outlook:

  1. Open your Outlook software in your system.
  2. Navigate to the “File” option. Within it, click on “Add Account”.
  3. Click on the “New” button.
  4. In the visible window click on the option to manually configure mail server settings in order to get started sbcglobal outlook settings for mail servers.
  5. In the next window. Select “Internet Email” and click Next.
  6. Fill in your name, SBCGlobal email address, and password for that email account.
  7. Do the following settings so as to Configure SBCGlobal In Outlook:
    1. Select Account Type as IMAP instead of POP.
    2. Fill incoming mail server as imap.mail.att.net.
    3. Outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.att.net.
  8. Then, click on the option “More Settings”.
  9. Do the following sbcglobal outlook settings in the Outgoing Mail Server tab:
    1. Make sure to check the option of “My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.
    2. Select the option of using the same settings as the incoming mail server.
  10. Then, in the “Advanced” tab, fill the following requirements:
    1. Incoming Mail server port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP).
    2. Encrypted Connection: SSL
    3. Outgoing Mail Server Port: 465
  11. At last, click on the “OK” and then “Next” and go through the last prompted window and click “Finish” to end the process.
